The Internet sites listed here apply to large areas and may be helpful for finding cycleways in different parts of the world. Of course we haven't ridden everything, so these links should be helpful in exploring potential long distance rides not found on WorldCycleWays.

 EuroVelo EuroVelo is a network of 15 long distance cycle routes connecting and uniting the European continent. However some of the routes are only concepts. Signage and path quality are highly variable. Persons considering using this network should do extensive research about the route before traveling.

France Vélo Tourisme France Velo Tourisme is the official website to discover France by bike. It is the enjoyable and ecological friendly way to find out cycling tourism in France, planning your holidays, biking trips or cycling tours and weekends on bicycle paths, greenways and other bicycle routes in France.

Italy Cycling Guide"An independent resource for cycle touring in Italy." This is the best cycling guide for Italy on the Internet.

Germany national bicycle network. Use the map on the site to find a ride. "Be inspired by a variety of cycling routes. The handpicked routes take you through the most beautiful corners of Germany and offer the right tour for every taste!"

Real Federacion Spanish Cycling Federation. Covers a wide variety of topics and routes. Use the map to find rides in the area you are interested.


Czech GreenwaysGreenways in the Czech Republic including the Prague to Vienna Greenway. Covers a wide variety or routes throughout the country.


Cycling EuropeCycling Europe. Has detailed guides for various cycleways in Europe. In Dutch and English.


Wobbly Rides

Wobbly Ride Has lots of detailed information for many areas. Ads make the site hard to use but there is still lots of info to be gained.

Asia Information

Korea Tourist BoardRiverside Bicycle Routes in Korea Korea Tourism Organization. I don't see bike routes on this site but I'm leaving the link here because the site has a large amount of travel information about Korea.

Japan CyclingJapan Cycling Navigator Extensive site on cycling in Japan designed and managed by local Japanese cyclists.

Crazy Guy On A Bike A very large site with a huge amount of information that is difficult to navigate. If you already know where you are going you might find some information here on the route or area.

Bikepacking "Bikepacking is the synthesis of mountain biking and minimalist camping. It evokes the freedom of multi-day backcountry hiking, but with the range and thrill of riding a mountain bike." There are some pretty rugged cycleroutes listed here, many are long distance and are in some wonderful areas.

Deutsche BahnDeutsche Bahn has the best app and Internet site for looking up European trains that will take bikes. Click the "timetable & booking" tab, it will open the dropdown window. Then use "further options" and check the "carriage of bicycle" option.
